The German Weather Service has issued a warning for specific areas in Bavaria this Saturday, cautioning against heavy rain. In western Swabia, Upper Allgau, and Upper Bavaria, the highest warning level 4 is in effect, meaning rainfall of up to 120 liters per square meter could be expected. For Middle and Upper Franconia, warning level 3 has been issued with estimates of 40 to 70 liters of rainfall. Throughout the region, there's a chance of strong thunderstorms starting from the afternoon in northern Bavaria.

Since Friday, authorities have been anticipating flooding in several towns and cities along rivers that have been experiencing heavy rainfall in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The water levels in these rivers have been steadily increasing, and the coming weekend promises more rainfall in large parts of the region.
