The extent of the damage to the underground of Werftstraße following the flood must be examined, along with the stability of the street and the quay wall. This process is expected to take a while, according to the city administration. As a result, the street will be closed to vehicles and bicycles, but a specific section will be open for pedestrians.

Residents are advised to check the groundwater level outside their homes during the pumping process and ensure it doesn't surpass the basement's level. Otherwise, their buildings could suffer damage. Additionally, they should inspect their walls and ceilings for any potential cracks.
