- The "Madness Game" of Fürther's top responses from Zero
Following Nahuel Noll's stellar performance despite heavy criticism, Alexander Zorniger, coach of Fürth, showered him with extra praise. "Nahuel Noll and a bit of luck helped us keep the goals at bay in the first half. But we truly earned the win in the second half," Zorniger stated after Fürth's 4-0 victory against SSV Jahn Regensburg in the 2nd Bundesliga.
At just 21, Noll proved to be a solid foundation for Fürth, a week after his blunder led to a draw against Paderborn, which earned him harsh words from his coach. Zorniger later expressed regret for his emotional tirade. However, Noll showed his mettle in front of 13,105 spectators at the Regensburg stadium.
The game quickly transformed into a rollercoaster ride.
"It was an insane match," Zorniger remarked after a game that started off brilliantly for Fürth. Meyerhöfer, the defender, scored the first goal with a volley from a corner kick by Hrgota (4th minute). The team had another promising header chance following the initial goal, but then they suddenly lost their momentum, allowing Regensburg to seize the opportunity. Regensburg had chances to equalize or even take the lead.
However, Fürth proved to be a highly efficient team. Futkeu, the striker, found the back of the net with an assist from Massimo in the 49th minute. Hrgota, the captain, scored another goal in the 77th minute, and Green netted one just before the final whistle (88th minute), securing a top start for Fürth with 8 points.
Regensburg, on the other hand, has had a rough start, losing three out of their first four games. They have a lot of ground to cover during the international break. The quick 0-2 scoreline after the break against Fürthers marked a turning point for Regensburg. "We started to unravel towards the end of the game and lost 0-4 fairly. That's incredibly frustrating," Enochs, Regensburg's coach, said.
Noll's solid performance in goal helped Fürth maintain a clean sheet in the first half of the soccer match against SSV Jahn Regensburg. Despite Regensburg's attempts to equalize or take the lead, Fürth continued their dominant display in the second half, with Hrgota scoring another goal to secure a 4-0 victory.
