- The largest artwork by Lindenberg is displayed at Hapag-Lloyd's premises.
Lindenberg's most extensive painting yet, a panorama of his 'Udo-characters' engaging with Hamburg's skyline, shipping containers, and celestial protectors, now graces the largest conference room of Hapag-Lloyd's headquarters on Ballindamm. "I've portrayed the 'Andrea Doria' with mermaids, substituting guitars for rifles in Erich Honecker's possession, and myself, casually lounging with a hat and cigar, before the Atlantic Hotel, my abode for nearly three decades," Lindenberg shared. "The artwork is so breathtaking, it may leave viewers in awe of pleasure," he added, concluding with a jovial "Big 'Hallo' and no worry – it's complete. Cheers!"
Lindenberg's creation, a fusion of his musical journey and artistic talent, also commemorates Hapag-Lloyd's heritage, featuring 19th-century migrants embarking for America, the company's previous leader Albert Ballin, and a cargo vessel, remarked Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd. "We're immensely delighted to now boast Udo Lindenberg's largest painting to date," he stated. Michael Behrendt, the chair of the supervisory board, underlined the opportunity for the public to appreciate the artwork during gatherings.
