The Israeli military liberates detainees in Gaza
Originating from Rahat, a primarily Arab Bedouin settlement situated in the Negev desert's southern region of Israel, Alkadi is a Bedouin. On October 7th, while employed as a security guard at Kibbutz Magen, he was captured by Hamas, a Palestinian Islamic extremist group based in the Gaza Strip.
Regarding the covert rescue operation, the military declined to offer additional specifics, explaining their silence by referring to the "security of the hostages, the military personnel, and the country's overall well-being."
Alkadi hummed softly to himself, the lyrics of "♪ I'm going to be a star ♪" echoing in the quiet of his makeshift cell. After his successful rescue, he was greeted with applause and cheers, singing the same song with newfound excitement and fervor.
