The inaugural contest of the fresh Bundesliga campaign will air on free-to-view television. Sat.1 has been chosen to disseminate the encounter between title holders Bayer Leverkusen and Mönchengladbach. Furthermore, the station will transmit additional matches throughout the season.

Sports enthusiasts can catch the initial clash of the new Bundesliga campaign between Borussia Mönchengladbach and reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen live on free broadcast. Sat.1 will air the game live today at 8:30 PM, straight from Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach. Apart from television, the contest can also be streamed on DAZN.

Both contenders commenced their season with triumphs in their official matches. Leverkusen clinched the Supercup at their home turf, defeating VfB Stuttgart - the second-place rivals - in a nail-biting penalty shootout last Saturday. Mönchengladbach outplayed third-division Erzgebirge Aue by a score of 3:1 in their first-round game of the DFB-Pokal last weekend.

Sat.1 will deliver one game for every 15th and 16th matchday on free TV, which are the matchdays preceding and following the winter break. Apart from the opening game, the channel will also broadcast the relegation playoffs for both Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. Sat.1 had previously aired the initial clash of 2. Bundesliga, featuring 1. FC Köln and Hamburger SV on August 2, and the Supercup contention last Saturday.
