Personal development, economic and democratic relevance - education is of central importance in society. The range of educational opportunities for different age groups and target groups is correspondingly diverse.
Learning for children, school and university, professional development and special educational offers - the German Education Award takes all of this into account. It is awarded by the German Institute for Service Quality and ntv. Awards are presented to 132 education providers in 46 categories. The award winners were decided by a large-scale consumer survey in which more than 33,000 votes were cast.
The survey, which was representative of the population, examined customer satisfaction with non-state education providers in the areas of value for money, range of services and customer service.

Numerous individual aspects were taken into account, such as costs, services, quality and benefits of the services/portals/products, scope and range of services, availability and reliability, contact options and responses to customer inquiries in terms of advisory skills and friendliness. Consumers' willingness to recommend the company to others was also included in the overall result.
Markus Hamer, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality, sums up: "The value and variety of the offers in particular ensure customer satisfaction, which is also reflected in a high willingness to recommend. From a consumer perspective, a pleasing number of education providers are recommendable."
Respondents were only able to rate one company per category that they had been in contact with or whose services or products they had used in the last twelve months. The evaluation included 345 companies and institutions that achieved at least 80 consumer opinions.
