The German second division team secured the signature of French center-back Lucas Perrin from Racing Strasbourg right before the transfer deadline on Friday. As stated by HSV's sporting director, Stefan Kuntz, "Bringing Lucas onboard has noticeably strengthened our central defense. Enhancing our defensive line was one of our key objectives for the summer transfer window, in light of Mario Vuskovic's situation." The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced on Tuesday that Vuskovic would serve a doping suspension until 2026.
