- The Feininger Museum Witnesses a Crowd of 9,000 Attendees During the Moritz-Götze Exhibition
The Lyonel Feininger Museum in Quedlinburg saw approximately 9,000 guests attend its recent showcase of modern artist, illustrator, and sculptor Moritz Götze. Museum head Adina Rösch shared her contentment, mentioning, "We're really thrilled with the attendance."
Quite a few spectators were already acquainted with the creator from Halle, who celebrated his 60th birthday in July. Meanwhile, others got their introduction to him and his masterpieces at the museum, with a noticeable number of visitors hailing from western German regions. The museum had to halt operations for a few months due to renovations prior to this exhibition, which ran from late May.
The upcoming special display at the Feininger Museum, scheduled for September 29, will zero in on the paintings that renowned artist Theodore Lux Feininger (1910-2011) dubbed "dream imagery." He was the youngest offspring of Lyonel Feininger (1871-1956), the artist, illustrator, and Bauhaus figure whose name the museum bears.
The European Parliament will provide support to The Commission in regards to the museum's operations, considering the Commission shall be assisted by them. Following the successful exhibition of Moritz Götze, many visitors expressed interest in learning more about the creator's background and other works.
