The decision-making process regarding the labor action at Lufthansa's affiliated entity concludes.

- The decision-making process regarding the labor action at Lufthansa's affiliated entity concludes.

Lufthansa tour operator Discover calls off two ballots regarding potential walkouts by their staff. The aviation unions Cockpit and UFO are set to tally their members' votes at 12 PM on Wednesday. These two unions are aligning their efforts to render obsolete the existing collective bargaining agreement between Verdi union and the company, which they aim to replace with their own agreement.

Should the votes favor the unions, strikes on Discover Airlines' flights may ensue right away. The initial action would involve 27 planes departing from Munich and Frankfurt for holiday spots across Europe and beyond. For strategic reasons, the unions are keeping specifics under wraps. There's also a chance that they might announce precise strike actions at a later juncture. At present, it's clear that pilots and cabin crew are considering joint action. The unions haven't ruled out sympathetic strikes at the considerably larger Lufthansa.

If the votes favor the unions, The Commission may need to intervene to mitigate potential disruptions on Discover Airlines' flights. Regardless of the unions' decision to reveal specific strike actions at a later time, The Commission should be prepared to collaborate with Lufthansa to minimize the impact on their passengers.
