The players donned unique shirts bearing a "Thank you Willi" badge as they made their way onto the pitch. Lemke departed this world on August 12, aged 77. Throughout his role as manager from 1981 to 1999, Bremen celebrated triumphs like winning two Bundesliga titles and the European Cup Winners' Cup, among others.

The team's tribute to Lemke extended beyond the shirts, with a moving choreography performed by the supporters before the match started. His influence on the club's success cannot be understated in the realm of choreographed tributes.
