The Conservative Democratic Union in Saxony is almost at the top, surpassing the AfD-BSW in third position.

The "Sahra Wagenknecht's Group" (BSW) was forecasted to end up in the third spot, pocketing around 11.5-12%, surpassing the SPD with 7.5-8.5%. The Greens are practically touching the 5% barrier, predicted to attain 5.0-5.5%. Unfortunately, The Left failed to surpass the 5% threshold, settling for 4.0-4.5%. As per ZDF, the FDP was barely able to scrape by with a mere 1%. ARD, on the contrary, didn't mention the FDP separately in their estimation.

For the upcoming state legislature, the CDU is projected to bag 43-44 seats. The AfD is predicted to grab 41-43 seats. BSW is anticipated to pick up 16 seats, while the SPD is expected to garner 10-12. The Greens are predicted to net 7-8 seats.

There might have been a record-breaking voter turnout: ARD suggests it was 73.5%, while ZDF points out it was 74%. This turnout would surpass the previous highest of 72.8% in 1990.

On Sunday, the results of the state legislature elections were announced, with the CDU leading and the AfD closely following. Despite expectations, The Left fell short of surpassing the 5% threshold on this particular Sunday.

During the state legislature elections that took place on a Sunday, the "Sahra Wagenknecht's Group" (BSW) managed to secure a higher percentage than the SPD, marking a significant shift in voting patterns.
