The Federal Prosecutor's Office is advocating for a four-and-a-half-year prison term for the 50-year-old defendant due to allegations of association with a foreign terrorist organization. This Turkish national is implicated for operating as a full-time PKK operative in Northern Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia from September 2018 to June 2020. The defendant was apprehended in Cyprus in March, following a European arrest warrant issued by Germany. He was subsequently shipped to Germany in June and has been detained ever since.
