Hertha BSC, a second-division football club, has loaned Agustin Rogel for the current season. The long-injured defender is moving to SC Internacional Porto Alegre, as announced by the Brazilian first-division club. The 26-year-old has been given a contract for this season. Internacional has already played 16 games and is in 16th place with 21 points, but has a five-game deficit compared to other clubs.

The one-time Uruguayan national team player had transferred from Estudiantes de La Plata to the then-first-division club on the Spree in 2022, but due to various injuries, he only played 20 games for the first team. Rogel is contracted to Hertha until 2026.

Agustin Rogel's loan move from Hertha BSC to SC Internacional Porto Alegre signifies his return to Brazil, where he previously started his career. Despite Internacional's current position in 16th place, they hope that Rogel's skills can help them improve their standings in the Brazilian first division.
