FC Energie Cottbus, promoted to the third tier, will have to do without their coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz in their next match. The Sports Court of the German Football Association (DFB) has imposed a stadium ban on the 59-year-old for the next league game. This decision was made by the single-judge arbitration panel following a charge brought by the DFB Control Committee. The reason cited was unsportsmanlike conduct. The coach has accepted the verdict, making it final.

Wollitz had behaved unsportsmanlike towards referee Tom Bauer after the whistle blew for half-time in the third-tier match against Arminia Bielefeld (1:2) on August 4, 2024, and was subsequently shown the red card by the official.

Wollitz is not allowed to be in the stadium during the match against Dynamo Dresden on Friday (7:00 PM). The ban begins half an hour before kick-off and ends half an hour after the final whistle. During this time, the coach is not allowed in the stadium interior, changing rooms, player tunnel, or corridor. He is not allowed to have any direct or indirect contact with the team at any time.

Despite the stadium ban, FC Energie Cottbus will need to find alternative tactics for their upcoming Soccer match against Dynamo Dresden. Wollitz's absence due to unsportsmanlike conduct will leave a significant void in the team's leadership during the crucial fixture.
