In the haymaking process in the Upper Palatine municipality of Hahnbach (district of Amberg-Sulzbach), an expensive baler caught fire. As the police station in Sulzbach-Rosenberg reported, a 38-year-old from nearby Königstein was working with the machine on a field near the hamlet of Schalkenthan when the baler caught fire. The cause was likely a technical malfunction. Firefighters from the surrounding area extinguished the fire, with the police estimating the damage at 250,000 euros - large agricultural machines typically cost six-figure sums.
