The eve of Saxony's state election, an anonymous group initiated a fire in a CDU campaign vehicle in Leipzig. The vehicle was completely consumed by the flames throughout the night, fortunately, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by authorities. Arson is under investigation. The Leipzig CDU head, Andreas Nowak, conveyed his disbelief towards the incident. "This despicable blend of political and criminal activity is an attack on us all," he stated. As per the authorities, the car ignited around 2:55 AM on Saturday. The exact method of the vehicle's combustion is yet to be ascertained. Thankfully, the fire department managed to prevent the flames from spreading to other vehicles.
