Berlin's Art Week 2024 commences with over 70 event launches, intending to spotlight the city's artistic vibe on a global scale for the 13th consecutive time. Over 100 museums, galleries, private collections, project rooms, and exhibition spaces will display modern art.
In total, approximately 300 events showcasing established international artists and emerging local talents in Berlin will run until Sunday. This year, the festival hub "BAW Garden" will be set up at Gropius Bau, offering a free outdoor program. Photographer Candida Höfer will display her work at the Academy of Arts, artist Mariechen Danz at the Berlinische Galerie, and the works of Sigmar Polke (1941-2010) will be on show at the Schinkel Pavilion.
