- The Brandenburg Greens take pride in their prominent status at the federal level.
The Greens in Brandenburg are planning to keep their prominent figures in the spotlight for their state election campaign, despite the disgruntlement towards the traffic light coalition. "We've got some exceptional individuals who we're incredibly proud of, and they're doing fantastic work," expressed Benjamin Raschke, the Greens' chosen leader for the state election in Potsdam. He criticized the federal government for having a "lackluster leader" and an "FDP eager to govern with a market-liberal approach." In Raschke's view, the Greens serve as the "only barrier" against this.
Raschke is thrilled about the presence of key figures like Economy Minister Robert Habeck, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, and Green Party co-leader Ricarda Lang during campaign events. "We're honored to have them join us," he said.
SPD to Skip Scholz in Campaign
Brandenburg's Minister President Dietmar Woidke had expressed his disinterest in a public campaign with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. However, Scholz is scheduled to appear alongside Woidke at an SPD summer festival in Potsdam on August 30. Approximately 1,000 invited guests are expected, primarily representing Brandenburg's civil society, as per the party.
According to a recent survey, a majority of Germans are dissatisfied with the federal government's performance and Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD). 62 percent of eligible voters surveyed stated that the traffic light government was performing poorly, as indicated by statistics from the ZDF "Politbarometer."
I'm not planning to join the state election campaign, focusing on key figures like Robert Habeck, Annalena Baerbock, and Ricarda Lang.
Despite the dissatisfaction towards Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the federal government, I'm not going to criticize his presence at the SPD summer festival in Potsdam.
