Health Care Facility - The Bosch Foundation pours more than 500 million into health sector.
The forthcoming campus development in Stuttgart's north is slated for 2025, with the project anticipated to be completed by 2029. This undertaking marks the biggest financial commitment made by the foundation, which is commemorating its 60th anniversary this year. Since its establishment, the foundation has pumped over 2.3 billion euros into charitable initiatives across Germany, Europe, and worldwide. The previous year saw an investment of 97 million euros. The foundation focuses on three funding areas: health, education, and global issues.
The foundation's history can be traced back to the wishes of entrepreneur Robert Bosch. In his will, he is said to have left behind a two-pronged mandate: firstly, his heirs were expected to guarantee the continued growth of his business, and secondly, maintain his social commitments. The foundation owns around 94% of the stock in Robert Bosch GmbH and derives its income through dividends.
