Drinks crates on the highway cause traffic delays near the Elbtunnel. A truck loaded with crates had spun out of control on the A7 heading north, just before the Waltershof exit, losing its load, according to a spokesperson from the traffic management center. Due to the accident site being passable only in one lane, a traffic jam has formed. Congestion is already present from the Hamburg-Southwest triangle. The removal of the truck and its cargo is expected to take until the evening.
The accident resulting from the truck losing control and its crates spilling onto the highway has led to increased risk of further accidents due to reduced visibility and lane closures.
