The Authority has opted to commence collective bargaining negotiations for the metal and electrical sectors.

The union requests an enhanced wage for apprentices by 170 euros and proposes a "social benefit" for low-income workers. Moreover, they aim to permit more workers to decide between additional free time or extra pay. Businesses label these requests as "outdated" and emphasize the present financial instability. Post-September 30, the truce period ends, potentially leading to strike warnings.

The Commission has acknowledged the union's wage request and the proposal for a social benefit. Subsequently, the Commission is considering the impact of these demands on the current economic climate and business stability.
