- The Authority has been tasked with drafting a suggestion for a mandate addressing the safeguard of employees from hazards stemming from radiation exposure, of an ionizing nature.

Two days before the Saxony state election, CDU's boss Carsten Linnemann aims to secure victory. "The CDU needs to win, Kretschmer needs to win. We're in this to win it," Linnemann declared during a rally in Chemnitz on Friday evening.

Linnemann blasted Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) for lacking direction. "This nation is lost. It's clueless about its future." In Linnemann's view, a leader should provide a roadmap for Germany. Scholz had visited Chemnitz only a few hours prior.

Premier Michael Kretschmer, however, enjoys widespread popularity due to his clear direction and strong leadership qualities. "He sticks to his beliefs. He's got guts. This nation needs leaders like him," praised Linnemann, who views Kretschmer as the embodiment of the people's voice.

Dierks: "Our aim is to be the most powerful force"

"Our aim is to emerge as the most powerful force in the Saxony election as the Saxon Union," said Saxony's CDU General Secretary Alexander Dierks. Over the past five years, the CDU has fulfilled its election promises, such as hiring 1,000 more police officers and doubling the master bonus to 2,000 euros.

"We're battling to govern this Free State with a firm stance, a clear advantage, but also with a smile," said Dierks. The CDU seeks a government that openly communicates its intentions. For instance, they advocated for mandatory preschool for all children and establishing a Saxon border police.

As per recent polls, the CDU and AfD have been locked in a tight race for first place. The latest polls, conducted by the Forsa polling institute for RTL and ntv, show the Christian Democrats slightly ahead (CDU 33 percent, AfD 31 percent).

The SPD, being the ruling party with Olaf Scholz as the Federal Chancellor, has been criticized by Carsten Linnemann from the SPD for lacking direction and clarity about Germany's future. Despite Linnemann's criticism, the SPD still remains a significant political force in Germany.

Despite the tight race between the CDU and the AfD in the Saxony state election, the SPD has not been mentioned as a major contender in the polls, indicating their lower popularity compared to the CDU and the AfD.
