Absence of Proof Leads to Dismissal: The Public Prosecutor's Department in Fulda Drops Case Over Allegations of Racism.

- The Authorities have chosen to pause their probe into the accusations of racial discrimination.

The District Attorney's Office in Fulda has concluded its probe into accusations of hate speech at a function held at the Training Center for Finance and Justice in Rotenburg's northeastern Hessian region. After thorough scrutiny, including multiple witness testimonies and the review of several videos captured at the gathering, no evidence was sourced to substantiate the claims, as asserted by spokesperson Christine Seban.

Post the January 23 event, there were media insinuations claiming that partygoers belted out racist anthems to "L'Amour Toujours" by Gigi D'Agostino. Nevertheless, the District Attorney's Office failed to locate any witnesses who could vouch for such songs, and none of the confiscated videos contained any incriminating material.

News articles alleged that chants such as "Germany for the Germans" and "Out with the foreigners" resonated throughout the event. Moreover, it was reported that students with migrant roots expressed feelings of unease and intimidation proceeding the occasion.

These accusations garnered considerable public interest. Subsequently, the then Minister of Finance for Hesse, Alexander Lorz (CDU), tackled the matter in a state parliamentary committee, a peaceful anti-racism rally unfolded at the training center, and the establishment published a public statement opposing racism and discrimination.

The Training Center for Finance and Justice in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district welcomes approximately 1,000 new dual students and trainees destined for public service annually, with approximately 820 entrants heading to the Hessian Finance Administration and around 210 to the Hessian and partially Thuringian Justice sectors.

Despite the accusations, no students at the event were identified as participating in or supporting the alleged racist chants. The Students' Union at the Training Center released a statement condemning any form of discrimination and emphasized their commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
