Jan Bollinger, state chairman of the AfD Rhineland-Palatinate, speaks at the state party conference of the Rhineland-Palatinate AfD.

Bollinger reports: - The Alternative for Germany (AfD) will send a significant contingent to the European Parliament.

In a recent interview with "17:30 Sat.1 live," Rhineland-Palatinate AfD leader Jan Bollinger expressed his hopefulness about the upcoming European elections. Although he has yet to finalize his party's membership in a European Parliament faction, he believes they will enter with a strong delegation and become an attractive partner for any faction in the European Parliament.

Bollinger, who is also the chairman of the AfD faction in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, was referring to the recent expulsion of AfD MEPs from the right-wing ID faction. This occurred due to harsh criticism about the SS, even coming from fellow party member and European election candidate, Maximilian Krah.

Regarding the ongoing Russian attack war against Ukraine, Bollinger voiced a different perspective on the imposed sanctions. He stated that while they do little harm to Russia, they significantly affect European economies and citizens. As a result, he suggests lifting these sanctions to promote negotiation and diplomacy with all parties involved.
