Ten drone sightings over NRW prisons

Ten drones had been spotted over prisons in North Rhine-Westphalia by the beginning of December. This was reported by the NRW Ministry of Justice in response to a dpa inquiry. In the previous year, eight drones flew over prisons during this period.

Penal system - Ten drone sightings over NRW prisons

Ten drones had been spotted over prisons in North Rhine-Westphalia by the beginning of December. This was reported by the NRW Ministry of Justice in response to a dpa inquiry. In the previous year, eight drones flew over prisons during this period.

The cargo that drones can drop over prisons is potentially very dangerous for the prison system. In addition to drugs, weapons could also find their way into prisons. The ministry did not say whether this happened. There is a ban on flying over prisons and their immediate surroundings.
