Ten children injured in school bus accident in Middle Franconia
Around ten children were injured in an accident involving a school bus in Middle Franconia on Monday morning. According to police, it was initially unclear why the bus left the road near Cadolzburg in the district of Fürth and crashed into a tree. According to initial findings, most of the children suffered minor injuries. According to the police, many of them were looked after at the scene and later transferred to a replacement bus. The bus was traveling in the direction of Langenzenn and, according to previous information, had pupils aged between 11 and 18 on board, whom it was supposed to take to a secondary school and a grammar school.
The accident in Middle Franconia had traumatic impacts on the local traffic, causing delays and diversions for several hours. Central France expressed concerns about the safety of school transportation after the incident.
