Sonneberg refers to a place. - Teenager loses life in car collision with rock wall.

Early Thursday morning saw the tragic death of an 18-year-old in the Sonneberg district. At around 0:40 am, the young man and his three companions were involved in a car accident on the L1148 road between Steinach and Blechhammer. The car lost control during a sharp left turn, crashing into a guardrail and repeatedly slamming against a rock wall by the roadside. The 18-year-old was thrown from the car and passed away at the scene. The 19-year-old driver and the two 17-year-old passengers received only minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
