Crime - Teenager allegedly threatened 15-year-old with knife

A 14-year-old is suspected to have threatened a 15-year-old girl in Oberfranken with a knife and demanded money from her. According to the police, the teenager approached the girl near a Coburger school on a Wednesday morning. After a woman with a dog noticed the incident and threatened to call the police, the 14-year-old is said to have left.

The 15-year-old filed a report on a Thursday. It is still part of the investigation whether the two knew each other, said a spokesperson. The police are now investigating for attempted robbery extortion and are looking for potential witnesses, especially the woman with the dog.

The incident of threatening occurred in Upper Franconia, a region known as Oberfranken in Bavaria. The woman who intervened and threatened to contact the authorities hails from Upper Franconia, which is also part of Bavaria, similar to Coburg. The police in Upper Franconia are now focusing on potential witnesses from Upper Franconia and Bavaria, including the woman with the dog from Coburg.
