Inquiries into the matter at hand. - Teenage boy, aged 17, bound and cast into Ems River; motives remain uncertain.

17-year-old girl survives after being severely injured, tied up, and thrown into the Ems in Germany. Inquiries into the case in Emsland continue, and her luck in surviving the ordeal is commended by Alexander Retemeyer, spokesperson for the Osnabrück Public Prosecutor's Office. While a motive remains elusive, a potential cause of anger could be old disagreements. He offered no further details on this.

Findings revealed on Tuesday indicated that these four teens supposedly left the girl unconscious, severely hurt, with her hands bound, and tossed her into the Ems River in Meppen in late May. "The Ems is a public waterway at this point of lucidity," clarified Retemeyer. The teen managed to escape, he added. Though her injuries were quite severe, her life was no longer in danger.

The occurrence had been arranged to iron out conflicts, according to a senior prosecutor. However, the specific individual who invited the victim remains yet to be identified. The four suspects - two men aged 19 and a man aged 24, as well as a woman age 27 - were accused of jointly deciding to violently assault the teen. "The victim was cruelly beaten up and injured for hours," Retemeyer noted. Following this, she was dumped into the river. Before daylight, around 4am, the 17-year-old arrived at a home along the banks of the Ems, knocking on the door for help. The woman living there summoned the police. The three men are currently imprisoned on charges of attempted murder, while the woman is suspected of aiding and abetting murder.
