Talks resume on ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza

According to U.S. State Department spokesman Vedant Patel, Qatar assured the U.S. that it would make efforts to ensure the presence of Hamas. According to a source close to the Palestinian organization, Hamas believes that Israel should "either come to conclude (an agreement) or not come at all." The mediators, the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar, have been working for months to achieve a renewed ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas.

The ongoing negotiations involving the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar aim to establish peace in the Middle East, focusing on the Gaza Strip, where Hamas is based. Despite the efforts of Qatar to support Hamas, tensions between Hamas and Israel continue to escalate in the Gaza Strip.
