Take That before summer tour: More anticipation than nervousness
The British band Take That are preparing for a certain amount of tension ahead of their tour next summer. "I think it's normal to be nervous before the first two or three shows when it all kicks off again," Howard Donald (55) told the German Press Agency. "But the older we get and the more life experience we have, the more we grow. We feel more of an anticipation to go on stage and sing."
The former teen idols around Gary Barlow (52) and Mark Owen (51) split up at the end of the 1990s and celebrated their comeback in 2005. Following the final retirement of Robbie Williams (49) and Jason Orange (53), Take That have been on the road as a trio since 2014.
"We've only played a few concerts since our reunion. But I absolutely love being on stage and performing. It's the best thing ever, that connection with the audience," said Barlow. "It's not a social media app or a TV show: you're there looking into the eyes of the audience."
The Brits released their ninth studio album "This Life" on Friday. With the "This Life Under The Stars" tour, Take That will also be coming to Hanover, Berlin, Mönchengladbach and Munich from the end of June.
People are eagerly anticipating the upcoming tour of Take That, with Howard Donald expressing more excitement than nervousness due to their life experience. Gray Barlow also enjoys the connection with the audience during their performances, stating that it's not like a social media app or a TV show.
