German professional football league - Tah and Hofmann engage in the building of a well.

The water bottle of Bayer Leverkusen soccer player Jonathan Tah is empty, his coffee machine is broken, and his teammate Jonas Hofmann is handed an empty glass: In a video, these two German Cup champions and national team members from Bayer Leverkusen advocate for improved water access in Africa. In partnership with World Vision, they're aiming to promote the building of wells.

"We utilize water for so many daily tasks that are now routine for us - like drinking water after waking up, having coffee, or brushing our teeth," national soccer player Tah said in a statement. "But, it's shocking to learn that approximately three billion people globally don't even have access to clean water at home, let alone the ability to wash their hands. That's why it's crucial to make it easier for those places to access clean and safe drinking water through the construction of wells!" The football stars hope to inspire assistance through their status as top players.
