Risk of severe weather - SWR3 Rheinland-Pfalz Open Air canceled

Due to threatening weather, the SWR3 Rheinland-Pfalz Open Air concert in Mainz was cancelled prematurely on Saturday evening. The organizers wanted to ensure that attendees could reach a safe location in time, they stated. Approximately 10,000 people had reportedly come to the event site at the Große Bleiche in Mainz by the time of the cancellation. They regretted the early end, it was mentioned. The mood had reportedly been carefree and lively all afternoon. According to reports, Tom Gregory, ClockClock, and Alice Merton had already performed. For Rhineland-Palatinate, the German Weather Service had forecasted severe weather for the night to Sunday.
