The Swiss provider of audiotechnology and hearing aids Sonova opens a second location in Thuringen, in Erfurt. The company announced that a sales and logistics center for the European region has been established on approximately 9,200 square meters. According to the company, up to 120 employees are expected to process several thousand orders per day from this location. Customers benefit from Erfurt's central location, said CEO Arnd Kaldowski.
The site is located near the important logistics center Leipzig and the daughter company Audia Acustic GmbH in Sommerda, which specializes in the development and production of otologics for hearing aids, individual hearing protection, and headphones.
Sonova, headquartered in Staefa, Switzerland, produces personal audiogadgets and wireless communication solutions among other things. The company employs over 18,000 employees worldwide according to its own statements.
The new Sonova location in Erfurt, Germany, is in the region of Thuringia. This investment in a sales and logistics center will create job opportunities for up to 120 people. The central location in Erfurt allows easy access for customers, a point emphasized by CEO Arnd Kaldowski. The daughter company Audia Acustic GmbH, specializing in otologics for hearing aids, is situated in nearby Sömmerda, Thuringia.
