- Swimming pool contaminated with chlorine gas, resulting in lifeguard's injury.

The pool in Engen, a Konstanz district, temporarily shuts down due to a chlorine gas leak. As per the cops, the lifeguard spotted the gas leak on Saturday, right before the pool's opening, upon entering the chlorine gas chamber. Firefighters detected an increased level of the gas. A specialized service was summoned, and the experts attributed the leak to a mechanical glitch.

The guard endured injuries from inhaling the gas and was transported to a hospital. The statement indicated no harm to the public. Post repairs and adequate ventilation of the facility and its surroundings, the pool will reopen, as per a police spokesperson's words. Yet, it stays closed at the moment.

The lifeguard's quick action in identifying the gas leakage prevented a potential disaster at the pool. Subsequent inspections revealed that the gas leakage was caused by a fault in the chlorine gas system.
