Swift fans before concert: "We've been camping here for five months"

Numerous fans of pop star Taylor Swift have been waiting for months in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires for this moment when the singer performs in the South American country for the first time.

"We've been camping here for five months," said one of the "Swifties", as the American singer's fans are known. The 33-year-old ("Shake It Off") will be performing at the Estadio Monumental in the capital for three days from November 9 as part of her world tour "The Eras Tour". Around 250,000 fans are expected to attend the three performances.

As close to the stage as possible

"We are a group of 30 people and have been taking turns in our tent ever since," said the young woman. She was joined by several other tents at the spot where the queuing for the concert begins today. With their action, they hope to get one of the front seats in front of the stage. This is because most campers have normal tickets for the indoor area, where it's first come, first served. Depending on the band or artist, this front area is also sold separately.

For the Swift concert, there were various ticket options at different prices. A VIP package, which allows you to enter the stadium first, cost up to 175,000 pesos - equivalent to around 470 euros at the official exchange rate. Other fans therefore decided to queue from the early hours of the morning to try their luck for one of the front seats. Like a young man who had traveled from Chile and wanted to queue from seven in the morning, as he said.

Soon on stage in Germany too

The pop star had recently set several records: At the end of October, Swift became the most streamed act within one day in Spotify history. Her new album "1989 (Taylor's Version)" also became the most streamed album in a single day this year.

The 33-year-old has been on tour since March and has now started her concerts abroad after a long break in the USA. In July next year, she also plans to perform in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.

The excitement among the fans was palpable as they discussed their favorite Music from Taylor Swift's discography, sharing stories about their favorite songs like 'Shake It Off'. The anticipation was high, with everyone hoping to secure the best spots as close as possible to the stage for the upcoming concert.
