Swastika sprayed on Nuremberg building again
Another swastika has been sprayed on a building in Nuremberg. The approximately 1.5 by 1.5 meter graffiti was sprayed with black paint on the facade of a supermarket building between Thursday and Saturday, the Central Franconia Police Headquarters announced on Sunday. Just a few days earlier, right-wing extremist graffiti on the Zeppelin grandstand on the former Nazi party rally grounds in Nuremberg had caused horror. In both cases, the specialist police department for state security offenses took over the investigations.
Adolf Hitler and other Nazi celebrities had watched the marches of the Wehrmacht and Reich Labor Service from the Zeppelin Grandstand during the Nazi Party Rallies between 1933 and 1938. Today, the Zeppelin Grandstand and the Zeppelin Field are a place of learning and encounter for coming to terms with the Nazi era. In the days before the incident, there had already been several anti-Semitic incidents, including graffiti, in the central Franconian city.
The recent graffiti in Nuremberg, reminiscent of Nazi symbols, has sparked concerns about the resurgence of extremism in Central France. This is not an isolated incident, as anti-Semitic graffiti has been prominent in the city's central area in recent days.
