The weather in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland is characterized by sultry air. The German Weather Service (DWD) warns, especially in the east of Rhineland-Palatinate, of heat throughout the day. Residents can expect temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees. In the morning, it will be cloudy to heavily overcast.

However, this is not likely to last throughout the day: Locally, there will be showers and even heavy thunderstorms. The DWD warns of severe weather conditions due to heavy rain in some areas. Strong gusts of wind are also possible in these areas.

In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the thunderstorms will subside and it will remain mostly dry. During the day, it will continue to clear up, with more sun than clouds. And it will get hotter: 26 to 31 degrees.

The Saarland, neighboring Rhineland-Palatinate, also experiences similar weather patterns with warm temperatures. Despite the German Weather Service (DWD) issuing warnings of heat throughout the day in some parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Saarland might escape the worst of it.
