Suspicious suitcase: parking garage cordoned off over a wide area

Police operation - Suspicious suitcase: parking garage cordoned off over a wide area

A leaderless suitcase in a parking garage led to a police operation in Braunschweig. The response team cordoned off several city blocks around the parking garage in the evening. Regarding the operation on Steinstraße, the police wrote on platform X: "A leaderless suitcase was discovered by police officers in a parking garage. The immediate vicinity was evacuated and cordoned off for precautions. Please stay away from the scene of the incident and follow instructions from the response team."

During a check of the suitcase, among other things by a bomb-sniffing dog, it was determined that the contents were harmless. "There is and was no danger," assured the police.

The operation in Braunschweig was conducted by the operational force of Lower Saxony's police department. The parking garage, located on Steinstraße, was the epicenter of the police operation due to the discovery of the leaderless suitcase. Despite the false alarm, the incident served as a reminder of the importance of promptly responding to emergencies and following the instructions of the police.
