The Murgtalbahn line was closed to train traffic on Tuesday due to a suspicious object. According to a police spokeswoman, it was initially unclear exactly what the object was and was to be investigated. Employees of the transport company had discovered the object during an annual inspection on the open track near Bischweier (Rastatt district). The line was closed in the afternoon. There were train cancellations and an increased number of passengers at Rastatt station.
