Suspicion of drug trafficking: 77-year-old arrested with son
A 77-year-old woman and her 45-year-old son have been arrested on suspicion of large-scale drug trafficking in Fürth. Arrest warrants have been issued for both of them, the police in Fürth announced on Monday.
When she was arrested on Friday, the senior citizen was carrying around a dozen seals apparently prepared for sale - filled with heroin. After the two were arrested, the police searched the man's apartment and found two kilograms of heroin and four kilograms of marijuana. The officers also came across tens of thousands of euros in cash.
The arrest of the mother and son was related to a suspected large-scale drug trafficking operation, involving heroin and marijuana. The discovery of sealed packages filled with heroin during her arrest further supported the crime allegations.
