Suspicion of child pornography: police search houses
The Würzburg criminal investigation department has searched nine apartments and houses in Lower Franconia in connection with the suspected possession of child and youth pornography. Eleven men were suspected of possessing illegal pornographic material and distributing some of it, the investigators announced on Tuesday. According to their own information, the officers seized numerous computers, cell phones and storage media during the searches. IT forensic experts are now evaluating these. The investigators also found narcotics in the possession of two suspects, it said.
The investigation revealed that some of the suspected illegal pornographic material was being distributed among the youth in the community. This alarming discovery led to concerns about the potential exposure of children to such content through the UNDERFRONT online platform.
