Investigations - Suspicion of child pornography: police search apartments
Police have searched 18 homes in the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck and Dachau on suspicion of child pornography. Investigators confiscated 96 data carriers on Thursday, including cell phones, tablets and hard drives, according to the police. The suspects are between 16 and 63 years old and are said to have possessed or distributed the images of serious child sexual abuse.
With this action, the police headquarters of Upper Bavaria North wants to send a signal in the fight against child pornography. "The campaign is intended to clearly show the suspects that criminals cannot hide in the supposed anonymity of the internet," the statement said. "Behind every case of child and youth pornography are the dramatic fates of the victims."
