Suspected sex offender arrested and remanded in custody
A man has been arrested following a possible sexual offense against a 14-year-old girl in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg (Groß-Gerau district). As the police and public prosecutor's office announced on Friday, the 35-year-old is now in custody on suspicion of attempted rape, among other things.
The man is said to have initially pursued the girl on October 25 and then attacked her near the Main Bridge in Gustavsburg. He fled when a witness intervened. He was arrested last Tuesday and brought before a magistrate on Wednesday.
The arrest took place in South Hessia, specifically in the district of Groß-Gerau, where the alleged crime occurred. Despite the efforts of the suspect to evade justice, the impact of his actions led to the involvement of law enforcement.
