After a 24-year-old man initially escaped from the police by jumping through a window, he was arrested three hours later in Passau. The suspected sex offender was brought before the Passau district court on Saturday and the arrest warrant was confirmed, according to the police. The suspect was taken to a correctional facility.

On Thursday night, he is said to have sexually assaulted a 34-year-old woman. The police searched for him on Friday using a helicopter, among other things.
