Three individuals linked to an ATM explosion are set to appear before the Karlsruhe District Court starting from Thursday (9:00 am). One of them is facing a murder charge. Reportedly, the 30-year-old accused of driving the escape vehicle caused a life-threatening accident. It's said that this incident occurred in Wiernsheim, Enzkreis.

Allegedly, the driver rammed a police car during their getaway attempt. Afterwards, he sped onto the A6 motorway, leading to a head-on collision with a small truck. The passenger on board died several days later due to the injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the truck and the arrested 30-year-old both suffered serious injuries as well.

The trio, all of whom are from the Netherlands, are jointly charged with robbing the ATM and causing the explosion. Specifically, the 30-year-old is being prosecuted for murder, as well as attempted murder. Authorities argue that he tacitly accepted the possibility of the truck driver's death during their dangerous escape, thereby concealing his real intentions.

The defendants have remained silent about the accusations prior to the trial. They are at present in pre-trial detention. Investigators claim that every ATM explosion investigation ultimately leads back to the Netherlands.
