LKA Saxony - Suspected left-wing extremist in hiding arrested
A suspected left-wing extremist who has gone into hiding has been arrested in Berlin. The man is being investigated on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, the Saxony State Criminal Police Office announced on Wednesday. He is suspected of attacking several people from a group of suspected right-wing extremists in Budapest between February 9 and 11, 2023 with striking tools.
In addition, the man's two apartments in Jena and Berlin were searched, an LKA spokesperson said on request. He would not give further details. The man was wanted on a European and a national arrest warrant.
