Hamburg-Hohenfelde - Suspected burning cigarette triggers apartment fire

Presumably a burning cigarette caused a house fire in the Hohenfelde district of Hamburg on Tuesday night. When the emergency services arrived at the one-bedroom apartment, they found a burning bed, according to a police spokesperson. The occupant of the apartment was taken to hospital with minor burns and suspected smoke inhalation as a precaution. It is being investigated whether the man may have been smoking in bed.
