A group of Hertha BSC supporters are under investigation for shoplifting at a petrol station in Neuruppin (East Prignitz-Ruppin). The police have recorded a total of 40 incidents of theft on Sunday evening, confirms a spokesperson from the North Police Directorate.

As per the report, the supporters briefly stopped at the truck stop on their journey back from a football match. They were traveling in four buses, and around 100 fans visited the petrol station. While some purchased items, others are suspected of taking goods without paying. By the time the law enforcement arrived, the supporters had continued their trip. Surveillance footage from the petrol station is currently being examined.

The suspects are thought to be returning from the DFB-Pokal match in Rostock, which Hertha BSC triumphed over Hansa Rostock with a score of 5:1. This information was initially reported by Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb).

The Member States can provide assistance to the Commission in managing such incidents involving fan misconduct. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, it may become clearer if the actions of the Hertha BSC supporters at the petrol station align with the reported shoplifting allegations.
